So Sad, So Sad.

Julija Svidraitė

For a really long time I thought that I’m one of those summer people that LIVE for hot beach days, warm nights and the sense of freedom this season brings. And I totally get why I thought that, ‘cause summer is so beautiful and bright and poetic and you don’t really have to think that much. Summer is. Attractive. You get a chance to run away from your hectic thoughts and that is appealing for most people. Including myself. But there’s always an ache in my heart when summer comes around. It’s fun and what not. But something’s always missing. Because deep down I know that there’s nothing better than reading a great book in your favorite coffee shop and sipping hot cappuccino in the shivery October morning. And rainy nights. Those dark rainy nights, when you’re walking down the street with an umbrella in your hand and earphones in listening to Troye Sivan and suddenly everything around you disappears. And it feels so damn good. Autumn is vibrant and stunning and wild… and a little depressing. And that right here is the most beautiful combination. And besides, yellows and browns were always my favorite shades. And it’s everywhere now. We’re living in it.

It was one of those beautiful and warm fall days and I wanted to wear something simple but yet interesting. That’s actually what I always try to achieve with my looks  – I want effortless but with that lil’ something.  So I took my blackish flared jeans, that I found at H&M when they had huge sales in the middle of summer, and paired it with a simple dusty blue crop top. The weather was quite nice but it wasn’t warm enough, so I still had to wear a jacket – this one is a bomber jacket from Pull&Bear and I wear it basically every day. I’m stoked about it!! And over all, bomber jackets are super great because they suit literally every outfit, especially black ones do. And they have that 90’s vibe, which is always awesome. The shoes I’m wearing are white faux leather Vans.

Jeans – H&M
Top – Newyorker
Shoes – Vans
Jacket – Pull&Bear
Backpack – thrifted

Autumn, autumn, one and only autumn. If I were a record player, the autumn season would be the only vinyl for me. Such a beautiful season, it associates with poetry, rainy nights, crisp air, calm music and bomb outfits, actually. I wish I were also as daring as I used to be and I’d dare to wear red lipstick again. Eh.

While sipping tea in the classroom today, I randomly began staring at the tea cup and the curly steam it made. Made me want to draw a curly little lady. You know who I had in my mind. You’re such an icon. Bloom on.
