Review: VICHY.

Hi there! Time for another review.

As I’ve mentioned before in one of my previous posts, recently I’ve got a chance to try some makeup and skincare related products from an online store called LOVERTE.COM. Basically, LOVERTE.COM is the largest perfume, cosmetics and jewellery online store in the Baltics, and they have thousands of cool products to choose from – perfumes, shampoos, face masks, creams, you name it. I was extra excited about this store reaching to me, since I’ve noticed they sell products from quite a few well known brands that I’ve been dying to try out for a really long time.

I‘ve already written a little review on one of the products I’ve got (you can check it out here) and today I’d like to talk a bit about the rest of the stuff I’ve been trying out.

VICHY Liftactiv Supreme Day Cream.

Basically, it’s a day cream for normal to combination skin. And it’s anti-aging. And yes, I’m only 20, but I’ve heard that it’s actually never too early to start using such products, so I thought I’d give it a shot.

First of all – the packaging is everything. It’s quite simple and minimalistic (which I love), and there’s also this cool little mirror on the top of the cover, which comes super handy in certain situations.

The product itself has also left a really nice impression on me. This particular cream I got is for normal to combination skin, and I think it’s pretty much perfect for that. It’s moisturizing but it doesn’t leave my skin feeling too oily and it absorbs pretty quickly overall. Another thing – it didn’t make my skin break out (some moisturizers tend to do this for me), so that’s also a huge plus.

VICHY Liftactiv Yeux Supreme Undereye Cream.

Another product from the same line.

Again – I love the packaging. Small, minimalistic and perfect for traveling.

I wanted to try this one out because I have pretty bad dark under eye circles, and this product is supposed to help with all that. Though I didn’t expect it to do much because my dark circles in general have a lot to do with genetics and stuff.

In general, I think it’s a really good product as well. It’s creamy and super moisturizing but it doesn’t feel heavy and absorbs super quickly. It doesn’t irritate my skin, and I also love that the product doesn’t have some kind of obtrusive scent – the scent is pretty much unnoticeable.

Talking about the whole dark circle thing – I haven’t noticed any huge differences but I think my under eyes look sort of better in general. It could possible be a placebo effect, but at least it feels like it.

Overall, I think that VICHY is a pretty cool skincare brand. I haven’t experienced anything groundbreaking while trying out these products, but they’re both really really nice and work well with my combination skin.
