Makeup Junkie Tag.

Photo: Jonas Svidras @ STEP.CAMERA

First of all, I freaking LOVE makeup. Makeup is a true form of art and anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know what they’re talking about. I love doing my makeup, I love doing other’s makeup, I love buying makeup and I love talking about makeup. Makeup is a beautiful thing, people. Because of all that I got really excited when I saw that this amazing girl Dovilė from Peroksidinės Blondinės Blogas tagged me to do the Makeup Junkie Tag. So here we go.

FAVORITE MAKEUP PRODUCT AT THE MOMENT

This CATRICE Liquid Camouflage Concealer is super good and super cheap, I should say. I’ve used the creamy version of this concealer before and I quite liked it but the problem was that I couldn’t use it on my under eyes for it was too thick and too drying. I think that the liquid form is so much better.

I love this product mostly because the coverage is very impressive – some high end concealers that I’ve used before didn’t have the coverage as high as this one have. My under eye circles are really dark and this thing covers them perfectly. There are only two shades and as you can see I have both – I use the lighter one for the places that I want to highlight and the darker one for every other imperfection. All in all, this stuff is unrealistically good ant that’s not only my opinion because it’s almost always sold out in my local makeup stores.

MY NEWEST MAKEUP PRODUCT

Julija Svidraitė

It’s the Oil Control Fixing Spray from Makeup Revolution and it’s actually my second time buying this. This makeup fixing spray is the only one I’ve used so far so I don’t have anything to compare this to. But I really like it a lot. I don’t have much to say about the “oil control” part because my T zone gets oily no matter what but it definitely makes your makeup stay longer on your face. And it also kind of blends all your face products (foundation, powder, blush and etc.) together really nicely. Also, it only costed like 8 euros so it’s pretty cheap compared to other fixing sprays.

CATRICE Long Lasting Lip Pencil and the color is “020 Hey Macadamia Ahey!” I don’t have much to say about this one besides it’s a really nice brown color and I use it almost every day. Also, the product itself is super cheap (I’m a cheap person, guys!). But unfortunately it’s not long lasting at all. Still a great lip pencil.

REASONS WHY I LOVE MAKEUP

As I mentioned before, makeup is a form of art. You can actually do wonders with it. There are many reasons why I love makeup but I think that the most important part is that makeup gives people that little extra dose of confidence which changes the whole game. And it’s not all about the looks – people feel better after putting on makeup partly because they’ve just spent a little quality time with themselves. And spendig time alone with yourself and your thoughts is super important for leading a mentally healthy life.

MAKEUP PRODUCT THAT I WOULD NEVER GIVE UP

Most people would probably say mascara and that was the first thing that popped into my mind but then I realised that I wouldn’t want to live without some kind of concealer. Mascara is a big thing but as I said before my under eyes are really dark so my eyes would look kind of weird with only mascara. It would probably look even worse. So yeah, concealer is a must for me.

FAST EYE MAKEUP IMPROVISATION

It wasn’t that fast but it’s certainly something new for me. You see, I only use neutral shades on my eyes and I’m kind of scared of such bright colors like the one I’m wearing today. But I think that I’ve never ACTUALLY tried doing something with bright colors before. So yeah, this is for trying new things.

MY FIRST EVER MAKEUP PRODUCT

I don’t remember the first product of my own but I remember the first product that I stole from my mom. Not actually stole, but you know, just kind of borrowed. It was this Nivea foundation and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I was like twelve and I wanted to look older and I thought that foundation is going to help me with that. To this day I’m still looking like a baby but at least I came to terms with it.

WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO LEARN

Same as Dovilė I would like to learn some contouring tchniques or just in general to put on bronzer properly. ‘Cause I feel like it’s such a nice thing and I’m missing out. I should probably watch some youtube tutorials.

MAKEUP TREND THAT I DON’T UNDERSTAND

I’m literally down with anyting. ‘Cause if we consider makeup to be an art then it just can’t have any limitations.

MY FAVORITE MAKEUP ERA

It has to be the 60’s! Mostly because I’m really into that massive lower lashes look. They used to put false eyelashes on the lower lash line or just draw them and I think that it looks hella sick!

ONE MAKEUP TIP THAT I WANT YOU TO KNOW

Maybe that’s gonna be a common sense but if you have an oily skin, don’t forget to put some powder on your eyelids too when you’re doing your makeup. I have hooded eyes so I’ve struggled with mascara leaving marks on my eyelids for such a long time. But then I realised that it happens because those areas tend to get really oily. So now if I’m not using eyeshadows, I always take an eyeshadow brush, take a little bit of powder with it and put it all over my eyelids. It makes a huge difference.

I tag everyone of you to choose your favorite question from this tag and answer it down in the comment section!

Favourite makeup product at the moment? Mac lip liner in “Spice”! I have to say that it is IDENTICAL to the Catrice one you decided to show us! Also, it stays for a pretty long time. If you have a warm/neutral skin undertone, it looks fantastic, BUT if you’re pale-faced – honey, this is not for you.

I always wanted to tell you that your prom makeup slayed, by the way.

I am very curious about your brows. What do you use to fill them in? I have used so many different products for them and I fail very hard to get the desired look. Either it turns out too auburn-ish, either it leaves unnatural streaks on my skin, or it just looks too dark. I’d go for something more on the ashy brown side, something that doesn’t have that strong caramel shade. Also, I have to mention that my brows are pretty bad – they’re thin and sparse. Can you help me out, pretty please?
